This in-person, 10-hour, weekend workshop presents a model on how to integrate Therapeutic Tabletop Role-Play games with individual and group clients across the lifespan. The focus is on clinical and supportive applications of RPGs and cultivating the skills necessary to facilitate Therapeutic Tabletop RPGs.

No previous experience necessary!

workshop objectives:

🎲 Learn how to integrate therapeutic tabletop role-play games into clinical practice and recreational groups through a liberatory, anti-colonialist, drama therapy frame.

📚 Explore multiple game systems and their practical use in therapy sessions.

🧙 Develop and practice skills in facilitating TTRPGs, including treatment planning and session organization with both individual clients and groups.

🗺️ Identify and explore accessibility and developmental modifications to meet diverse client needs.

🦹 Enhance character creation, storytelling, and world-building abilities for immersive therapeutic experiences.

🎭 Understand key concepts such as collaborative improvisation, aesthetic distance, narrative transference, and imaginal accessibility.
